A number of 7group projects attained LEED certification during the third quarter of 2010.
In July 2010, West Chester University’s new 90,000 sf School of Music and Performing Arts Center (SOMPAC) located in West Chester, PA, achieved LEED Silver (NCv2). The project was designed and constructed as a larger and more sustainable performance center to replace the 1950s era Swope Hall, which lacked space and adequate acoustics. SOMPAC serves as a musical, theatrical and dance facility for West Chester University students, as well as the local and regional communities, and is gaining recognition as a major public performance venue for West Chester and the surrounding area.
